As is the nature of the trend cycle, it’s no surprise that 2015 styles are slowly creeping back into our closets and our FYPs. In the past two weeks, there has been a surge of Isabel Marant unboxings, queries, and concerns. So today, let’s take a moment to learn about the powerhouse that shaped mid-2010s fashion.
Isabel Marant is a Parisian designer whose work dates back to the late ‘80s. During this time, she was best known for her knitwear and jersey designs under the brand name “Twen.” Quickly rising in the Paris fashion scene, she was able to open her first brick-and-mortar store in 1998.
While many describe Marant’s style as boho chic, her collections are an ode to the everyday woman. She is messy, traveled, and unapologetic—a stark contrast to the typical image of haute couture.

Marant’s 2025 Spring collection is described as “tropical inspiration meets the artisanal spirit.” The collection features flowy tops, tight pants, embroidery, weavings, studs, and plenty of leather. It adheres to earthy tones like beige, orange, and brown but also experiments with metallics and pops of sunset pink. Accessories include chokers, suede bags, feathers, and arm cuffs. Sound familiar? To top it off, the collection also includes slouchy leather boots and… gladiator sandals.
If you thought the days of platform sneakers, peplum tops, feather earrings, and studded accessories were long behind us, think again. Whether driven by a collective desire for youth and freedom or the inescapable pull of nostalgia, mid-2010s internet culture is coming back full steam ahead. Are you excited to see how 2025 reinvents 2015?
