With longer and warmer days around the corner, now is the perfect time of year to slow down and express gratitude—for the people and spaces that shape us. Designed with care and a clear vision, the Hellbent space is one we hope makes you feel embraced and empowered to explore your personal style.
Anna Zarlinga, the visionary behind Hellbent, always knew the in-store experience would be more than a backdrop for beautiful pieces but about female empowerment, support and open conversation. Inspired by Ikea’s fluid walk-through design, she wanted the space to take you on a cruise through Hellbent world, with each turn unveiling an unexpected but intentionally-placed treasure.
With a mix of thrifted vintage, upcycled and modern structures, each furniture piece was hand-selected and vibe-checked thoroughly. “Intentionality with everything was really important to me,” Anna says. For her, it was essential to keep the store’s design minimal and let the clothing speak for itself. Key sources of inspiration came from 1970s aesthetics, Copenhagen interiors and warm California homes.
Bringing the vision to life took eight months of meticulous planning. Anna worked alongside her soon-to-be husband and retail designer, Brock Luckette, to blueprint and sculpt the interior. With Anna’s limitless creativity and energy, coupled with Brock’s background and methodical approach, the pair was absolutely hellbent on creating something specific and intentional. The creative process is known for its intensity and immersiveness, but for Anna, it was an absolute thrill. Itching to tie the pieces together, the thrill of the hunt was the most rewarding part. The biggest challenge? Deciding where to begin.
Growing forward, each Hellbent location will be an ode to its city. As the first of its kind in Raleigh, it bridges old and new, perfectly timed and cosmically aligned for North Hills’ new innovation district.
Smooth wood stains, alluring rug patterns and magnetizing light fixtures—every piece has been chosen with love to create an atmosphere that’s both electrifying and grounding. Here, come as you are, come to be heard, and come to be inspired.
