“Color is a power which directly influences the soul”- Wassily Kandinsky
Every year, trend analysts pour over vast amounts of data on art, design, social movements, and global events to deliver a color report for the upcoming year. Let's gush over the two hues that color experts like Pantone, Pinterest and Sherwin Williams have deemed to be influential in 2025.
Mocha Brown
According to the Pantone team, Mocha brown captures the zeitgeist for the upcoming year. The color evokes feelings of comfort, quality, and craftsmanship.
Leatrice Eisemen of Pantone shares the color is spurred from “our desire for everyday pleasures, Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence. Sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic, it extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace aspirational and luxe”.
Essentially, Mocha brown isn’t literally about capital, but more about slowing down, engaging the senses, and embracing the present.
To satiate the mocha craving, we have a couple of recommendations. Reach for the soft-touch luxe Zaire Top. We’re obsessed with how velvety soft she is and drapes gently over the body.
Another favorite is the Rochelle Jacket. A perfect transition piece into Spring, it’s adjustable in the waist to emulate a bomber silhouette and at the wrists to create a flower-esque sleeve.
We are also loving touches of mocha mousse mixed into brighter tones, such as a powdery baby blue. For example, the Elizabeth Blouse is the perfect contrast of tones while having a fun and feminine silhouette.
Butter Yellow
On the opposite side of the coin, Butter Yellow is set to bring a little whimsy this Spring/Summer. Also meant to conjure feelings of warmth, this hue takes it on in a more playful way. As we reflect on last summer’s Brat green craze, it seems this year there’s a desire for a little hope and light in our lives.
We’ve sourced the most beautiful set for your Butter collection. You’ve asked for more tie-front tops and we heard you. With a matching drop-waist skirt, you’ll be just as dazed with the Natasha Top and Skirt.
In the same vein, welcome Oat into your home next season. It’s the right basic for when you want to add extra warmth and character to your outfit without being overly flashy. We recommend the Anika Dress. Formed with an empire waist, it elegantly accentuates the waist and lengthens the legs, it is seriously so stunning on the body!
Which color are you most looking forward to experiencing this year?
